Welfare Organisation
The country is divided in to 9 regions for the purpose of extending
welfare measures under different welfare funds. They are also cess commissioner
for the purpose of collecting cess under The Limestone and Dolomite Mines
Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1972 and The Iron Ore,
The organization is headed by Joint
Secretary, designated as Director General (Labour Welfare).
He is assisted by Welfare Commissioner (HQ), who supervises the functioning of
the regional Commissionerates .
